Day 7: Embrace, Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Reflection: A time…for everything. We read these verses when life doesn’t go as we planned. We read them at gravesides. A graveside, where one is is given farewell while others grieve so as to move forward. The one whose body is just a shell would never desire that those gathered remain in grief. Rather, a seed is planted–a reality check with our mortality. A reality check with our Creator. And though there is a time to die, there is also a time to build up, to laugh, to dance, to gather. A time to embrace. So today, rather than seeing that which you have lost, see that which you are to embrace.
Application: What is God asking you?
Prayer: Father, dropping the stones in our hands that we may receive life abundant from You is difficult. Show us Your greater plan. Show us Your hand–so mightily we cannot deny Your presence. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
