“The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and his glory is to overlook a transgression.” –Proverbs 19:11, NKJV
This, flat out, is not my strength. Hard on myself–hard on others–then hard on self for being hard on others. In a week of challenge where obedience is more important than sacrifice, I approach the world with more critical eye than usual.
The obedience called to keep moving in steps of faith walks alongside obedience to the call to love God and love others. When I would rather hole-up and focus on my own life, God calls me into fellowship–and to make wise choices in that fellowship.
Exhausting, this submitting own desires to that of God. His wisdom to seek rest, His command to be concerned with today alone and let Him take care of tomorrow is the key to weeks like this.
