Facebook.  Twitter.  All manner of social media.  Riddled with quick comments and quicker retorts.  Arguments between people whom have never met over issues better discussed in person.  Wisdom robbed for the sake of wit.  People torn asunder by those whom know the person of whom they type

“He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself, And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself. Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you…”

What if the scriptures instead said that we should be quick to listen and slow to type (James 1:19(?  How would your social media presence change?  How would mine?

Choose carefully today.

Scripture tells us that life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21)–and we put words out there like they mean nothing and can easily be repealed.
