“She is like the merchant ships, she brings her food from afar.” –verse 14
This woman, who we saw yesterday willingly working with her hands, gets creative when it comes to provisions. She does not limit to what is immediately ahead. She looks beyond the now and sees the potential good out there–and she goes and brings it home.
Sometimes I do not realize when I am stuck in a rut. But when I do, the ruttedness, at times, infuses my thinking to the point of not seeing beyond the immediate. May we always be open to whatever God has for us just over the horizon–and may our hearts be willing to go get it in order to bring it home.
