Psalm 14: Wretched Death Car
There are days my pride takes front seat and barrels down the highway, ignoring everything in its path. Often, self-righteousness rides shotgun with snarkiness, bitterness, and sharp tongue fighting in the back seat. You can hear it from afar and people dive out of the way.
It is not pretty, but the truth is this: we all are wretched. We all are flawed, filled with fault, and blind to it in ourselves.
The psalms bring praises to our Lord. And they also give us a good dose of who we are when we go our own way.
“There is none who does good, no, not one.” –from verse 3
Who is driving your car today?
