Psalm 34: When Silence is Selfish
Today’s reading: Psalms 34
“My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.” –verses 2-3
Magnifying the Lord individually builds a foundation by which we may magnify Him with others.
To do the first and neglect the second robs us of the full experience. It robs those seeking salvation from knowing the glory of the Lord in individual lives. Keeping to ourselves that which we know to be life-changing, glorious, peace-filled and abundant expresses selfishness.
How have you kept silent when the Spirit drew you to speak?
How have you spoken in step with the Spirit and seen the results of that obedience?
The Spirit knows more than we can fathom. In following His lead to speak publicly we just may be changing lives we will not see until Heaven.
Be humbly bold–humble to the Spirit, bold to the world.
