Psalm 36: Change
Today’s Reading: Psalm 36
This psalm speaks a progression to me. For weren’t we all once the wicked man devising evil? Wasn’t I once the one devising wickedness and evil? Wasn’t it my heart that God was trying to call because my heart was set on wickedness? Wasn’t I the wretched one?
And then God’s mercy came. His faithfulness convinced me. His righteousness spoke of the predictability of His expectations. His judgments would always be right. His protection abounds, His graciousness toward the upright in heart.
May I set aside the us and them mentality. May I reach to those still in the first half of the psalm, knowing I was them at one time too.
