Today’s Reading: Psalm 46
“The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.” –verse 7, NKJV
We humans can be ambiguous. We create gray areas where there need not be any. Either God is with you–or rather you are with God–or not. Either He is my refuge or I take refuge in other things.
Sometimes boiling it down to the basic elements highlights the need for re-assessment. Rather than dipping my toes in the river of refuge, Jesus calls me to be overwhelmed by His care. Losing control of that which, let’s face it, I had no control of anyway, and allowing Him to truly carry me…
In or out.
