Days fully characterized by satisfaction with God alone seem few. Satisfaction in moments, even in hours, yet critical patterns and impatient “waiting” (demanding) crop up as well. I could say I am satisfied with His calling on my life, and there are areas where I am, though honesty demands that I admit where I have fallen short of pure satisfaction with Him alone.
Reading a scripture like Psalm 65 sets that wrong thinking int he right direction. As I overlook rolling fields of grain in my physical world, reading about how He provides, I cannot help but remember His hand, His provision, and how very truly He is enough.
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” –Hebrews 4:12
