The psalmist cries out in ways similar to what we see now. Across the internet and social media, Christians and non-Christians alike decry the behavior of the church. So did the psalmist–but the psalmist kept a greater perspective in mind.
The psalmist prayed that God would change the hearts of His people, not only for their sake, but for the sake of the nations. How would the nations believe if the people of God portrayed something other than God’s will?
