This psalm reflects the cry of God’s heart to His people. He longs for good in our lives. And He knows that only comes when we follow His righteous ways. He cries out for our obedience like the father looking for his prodigal son to return to the farm.
He cries out for you to return. He cries out for me to return. The Holy Spirit keeps poking and prodding and nudging and pushing that we might hear the Father’s cry. Jesus keeps praying and groaning and advocating for us.
They all desire our return that they may welcome us home.
