In the aftermath of the election
I cannot fix the nation’s economy, but I can steward my own.
I cannot change another’s beliefs, but I can live out my own.
I cannot choose the nation’s policies, but I can choose my own.
I cannot convince others to agree with me, but I can be humble in my expression of them.
I cannot agree with everyone, but I am commanded to love everyone.
What I can do, I will do.
What I cannot do, I will pray to the One Who can.
And I can live the life I claim as the best.
With the provision of God, the leadership of Christ, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit, nothing man does will ever trump the plan God has for our lives.
