Psalm 95: Who are you?
A question that permeates our society and plagues our hearts: who are you?
We struggle by answering it with what we do, yet we know that falls flat. So we describe who we are in relation to someone else–father, husband, friend. But there is still something missing from the explanation.
We are, at our very core, either part of the people of God or not. If you have trouble distinguishing yourself in that dyad of options, read Psalm 95 again. He is good. He is worthy. And He is faithful. His people rise up and bless Him, for they trust His heart.
If God needs a character reference for you (and even those of us who believe whole-heartedly sometimes need a reminder), bathe your mind in His word. Investigate Who He is, and you will find your answer of to Whom do you belong.
