“For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, ‘Peace be within you.’ Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek your good.” –verses 8-9

For wherever there are people, there will be a rubbing of personalities. The house of the Lord, made up of broken people seeking wholeness, can rub just as raw. But the Lord provides for this as well:

“For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” –1 Corinthians 12:13, NKJV

He may not have given us one personality, but He provided one Spirit. And in that Spirit, unity may be found.

Do not forsake gathering together due to a little rubbing. Instead, seek the Spirit in each person, and rely on His testimony. For He drew us together that we might live this life an example of how God is in all and over all.
