Psalm 130: Asking…
“Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.” –verse 1
What are my supplications. If I review my prayer life, I see me trying to convince myself of God’s promises, even cutting Him off to say “I know _____ and I know ______” to talk myself out of whatever I really want to ask.
Thanksgiving, confession, and worship, yes. Asking Him for anything? Rarely. How sad that the One who tells me to approach Him with confidence and to not give up petitioning doesn’t hear me asking for the very desires of my heart.
What is your prayer life like? Do you ask Him for anything? Or do you, like me, convince yourself otherwise. Let’s break down that gross mis-understanding. Ask Him now for that deep desire. And see Him move.
