Psalm 142: Repeat what you know…

Foggy Autumn ForestThe psalmist experienced persecution in a way we likely will not. The king was out for his blood at one point. Years later, his son would do the same.

Despite the challenges before him, he went to the thing he knew. He knew God was his refuge. And in his prayers, he repeated as such again and again. It is not that God needed the reminder. but sometimes God speaks by repeating His words to us through our own speaking of them.

When life gets fuzzy and the way seems confusing, ask yourself what you know to be true about God. Soon the calm of the Spirit will supersede the fuzziness before you.
