Chronological Bible: January 12, Leaving behind…
- Genesis 34:1-36:43
Biblical genealogies use to be the readings I skipped. “Blah, blah, blah…” ran through my head as I skimmed to make sure I didn’t miss any “good” parts. What did it matter to me who begat whom?
And though I still lose track of the lineages and who begat whom, I see a beauty in the lists being recorded in scripture.
I believe God cares deeply about what we leave behind. What are you leaving behind? What are you instilling in your children, nieces, nephews, neighborhood children? What are you leaving in your wake at work, in your family, at the grocery store, on the road?
Every day you leave a legacy. What are you leaving behind today?
