“…And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works…and to work in all manner of workmanship. And I…have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you…” –Exodus 31:3-6, NKJV

As God provides giftings and talents to His people, He also give the Spirit and wisdom that they may use it to further His plans elsewhere. We are not alone in our talent and He has given it for a purpose.

Do you have the gift of encouragement? You do because someone needs that. Do you easily see how to build a ministry, system, organization? You have that because it is needed. Are you gifted at administration, ensuring the day-to-day runs smoothly? You have it because it is necessary.

God gifted the artisans then filled them with the Spirit and wisdom that they could fulfill what God was calling Moses to build for the tabernacle. He did not give those gifts to Moses, but empowered the people around Moses to fulfill His call.

You have a gift. It is necessary. You need not seek out another’s wisdom or mimic your ministry after another’s. God gave the gift. And He will give the Spirit and wisdom in how to use the gift. Seek Him, wait on Him, and seek to glorify Him in all things. He will make clear how and when you should use the gift for His best purpose.
