Chronological Bible: April 12, The promise that will not fail…
- 1 Chronicles 17:1-27
- 2 Samuel 8:1-12:15a
- Psalm 51
“For You have made Your people Israel Your very own people forever; and You, Lord, have become their God.” –1 Chronicles 17:22, NKJV
God does not mess around. When He commits, His commitment is sure. He cannot lie, therefore, He cannot promise something which He will not fulfill.
He has promised that He has a people. He has claimed those people as His own. Though it began with Israel, there has always been a way to be grafted into the family. You need not be Jewish, but you do need to believe. Believing on His name, that He has saved you from a life of sin creates the everlasting bond of family with the almighty God of the universe.
His commitment to you is sure. When all else fails, when humans fail (as humans do), and when things seem shaky around you, the God of creation will not forsake His people.
Be His people. Trust His promise.
