- 2 Samuel 2:1-4:12
“Now there was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. But David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker.” –2 Samuel 3:1, NKJV
The call of God requires a grinding. Grinding away day-by-day, disciplining self to humility, vulnerable to the Spirit’s leading. Waking in the morning, believing He is faithful and walking the steps set before you sometimes feels redundant. Another day, another grind can wear away at you. But trust me when I say that the discipline strengthened in the quiet grind builds the foundation for peace. Trusting His hand, trusting that He is Almighty over everything creates stability in your very soul.
When you find yourself in the midst of the grind, knowing the call but not yet seeing its fruition, you are experiencing strength training. Lean into the exercise, trust the Trainer, and the results will come. The fruit will come.
