“As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.” –Psalm 17:15, NKJV

What is your goal? When will you be satisfied? What thing or person or position do you feel like you are missing in your life that makes you think, “If I just had *that*, I would be satisfied.” Where does your discontentment lie?

David was the man after God’s own heart because his discontentment rooted only in that he was not yet living in God’s likeness. You are created in God’s image, but are you living in His likeness? Reflect on your goals, your aspirations, and your dreams. Are they the source of your someday satisfaction? Or are they merely a way in this world of keeping you focused while the deepest desire of your heart is to live in God’s likeness?
