- Psalm 35-36
- Psalm 38
- Psalm 40-41
David, arguably a great warrior, sought the Lord in the very thing that was his greatest strength. David sought God’s hand in the very area where one would go on their own. In my own life, I find that I seek God’s help in my weaknesses. I pray for His guidance when I find myself at a loss as to what to do. But by David’s example, I may have it wrong.
In organizational development, research shows that spending time in our strengths produces far more than trying to build up areas of weaknesses. David seems to do the same. In his strengths, David asks God to do more. And in doing so, his strengths become greater, his impact more profound, and his success in the will of God undeniable.
What areas of strength have you forgotten to ask God for even more?
