Chronological Bible: April 29, Not unique and yet unique…
- Psalm 47-49
- Psalm 84-85
- Psalm 87
“Hear this, all peoples; give ear, all inhabitants of the world, both low and high, rich and poor together. My mouth shall speak wisdom, and the meditation of my heart shall give understanding.” –Psalm 49:1-3, NKJV
Have you ever felt that you are not worthy for the love and trust God gives you? I have wondered why He chose me to teach. I have wondered why He asks me to lead. I wonder why He trusts me with the hearts of His people, trusting me to seek Him that I may teach the truth.
Here is the wonderful thing revealed in this psalm: God’s wisdom is for everyone, all inhabitants of the world. The same wisdom available to every single person. Every. Single. Person.
In a way, it speaks to how we are not unique in our being chosen by Him. His kingdom will not live or die based on whether I fulfill the calling He gives. The eternal truth will ring forth regardless of whether I choose to participate. I am not unique.
And it speaks to His love for each of His unique creatures. Though I may not be unique in whether the wisdom of God is available to me or not, He has, however, made me unique in the way our relationship works. He made me unique in how that wisdom plays out in my life. He made me unique in my life and experiences, my drives and ambitions, my thirst for knowledge and wisdom so that the enactment of His wisdom plays out unique to me.
Embrace that you cannot crash the kingdom of God. And embrace that your Creator made you to uniquely manifest that wisdom. In each, we find perspective to continue the work. In each we praise the Lord for so desiring that we work with Him.
