- 1 Chronicles 16:1-43
David appointed Asaph, among others, to tend to the House of God and minister before the ark. The more I learn of Asaph, the more I am overwhelmed with the grace of God.
“So he left Asaph and his brothers there before the ark of the covenant of the Lord to minister before the ark regularly, as every day’s work required.” 16:37, NKJV
Asaph stood before the ark of God, the very presence of God. The Psalms show Asaph as a leader in Israel. He wrote psalms declaring the glory of God. And still, Asaph struggled. He experienced times of wondering why the evil succeed. He questioned if God abandoned him.
If he that stood before God daily, appointed and trusted by King David, proclaiming His majesty and struggled in his human mind to understand the ways of God, you and I can rest assured that God is not bothered by our questions. The Lord knows our desire to worship, and He understands our human mind and questions.
He gives grace to the humble Humbly bring your struggle to Him and He will lift up your head.
