- 2 Kings 19:8-37
- Isaiah 37:8-38
- 2 Kings 20:20-21
The king of Assyria sent messengers to Hezekiah taunting the people of God…again. The king’s attempt to degrade the people’s faith in God. He is playing mind games and rather than engage, Hezekiah did the thing we all should do: he went to the house of God and spread the words before Him. Hezekiah trusted the almighty God to sort out the words. He started with what he knew of God. But more than that, he kept in mind the one thing more important than anything else:
“…that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone are the Lord.” –Isaiah 37:20, ESV
Cut through all the muck and mire thrown at you and keep this in mind. When the enemy accusation swirl around you, remember the point of it all: that the world will know God. Not you, not your character or your talent or your desires. The point of it all is God. Keep this in mind, bring the accusations before the Lord, and await His hand. Honor Him. Make Him the point. And He will come through in amazing ways beyond your understanding.
