- Ezekiel 22:1-22
“And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.” –Ezekiel 22:30, ESV
Where am I investing my energy? What makes my hands bleed as I work well beyond tired to make progress? Where does my heart settle when I seek the Lord?
I live in a place known for it’s lack of God. But do I love the people here so much that I would stand before God begging Him to hold back His hand just one more day so that another might come to Him? And just one more day after that? And another day after that? Do I build the wall to show the glory of God to the people while turning to God and declaring, “See? They come! Please, Lord, tarry one more day that another would come!”
Dear God, break my heart for the people around me. Tarry another day that they may come to know your saving grace.
