Chronological Bible: August 26, Worth nothing? Or worth everything?…
- Isaiah 52:1-55:13
“For thus says the Lord: ‘You were sold for nothing, and you shall be redeemed without money.'” –Isaiah 52:3, ESV
Satan, the accuser, speaks over you words of worthlessness, loneliness, and shame. He pulls out every sinful thought you’ve ever had and whispers insidiously to make you wonder your worth. He calls you nothing and tries his hardest to make you believe it.
But you were purchased. Your sins held you captive, but Jesus came to redeem you. In a world of excess material items, we recognize the preciousness of that which has no monetary value. Time, energy, love, family, friends. No money can buy them. And no money can buy you.
Only the blood of Christ could redeem you. It holds no monetary value. But it holds the keys to the kingdom. The devil wants you to believe you are worth nothing. Jesus came to show you that you are worth Him dying that He could hang out with you for eternity.
Choose today whom you will believe.
