Chronological Bible: October 10, What to do as the end times draw near…
- Daniel 10:1-12:13
The end times will come. The fulfillment of many prophesies will come. We will see these fulfillments, either from the mortal perspective or from a heavenly one. These things will happen. So what do we do? Do we fret and wring our hands at the trouble to come? Do we pridefully strut about proclaiming how our Guy wins?
“Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.” –Daniel 12:10, ESV
We are to pursue righteousness. We are to live in wisdom. For it is the wisdom that will bring understanding. We may not know when the exact start of these end-times prophesies start. But we will know how to behave and to Whom to pledge our allegiance. We will not know if this leader or that leader is one of the kings mentioned in Daniel. But we do know that the One who knows all of these things calls us to righteousness.
So as the time ticks down and the prophesies align to fulfillment, focus on your Lord. Focus on righteousness. Give all you have to obtain wisdom. For these are assured to those who believe. our Redeemer is coming. And He has redeemed us that we might know life lived in righteousness and wisdom.
