“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” –John 14:26-27, ESV

The Holy Spirit. We know He is the comforter, but I cannot say I ascribed teaching to Him. He is the Teacher. I realized He moves to bring to remembrance of Jesus’ words, but I didn’t break that down to see Him as the orchestrator of the lessons. He comforts; He provides peace. And He is the great professor, weaving lessons in and out of our lives, highlighting scripture, and reminding us of the words of Jesus and works of God. I want to know more of the Spirit, to understand better His role in the triune God-head. I wonder what else I have missed in His work. And that, too, speaks of His nature, one of humility and pointing to the glory of God and the salvation found in Christ.
