- Romans 11:10-15:13
“Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.” –Romans 12:9-13, ESV
I love list. A quick, easy-to-understand checklist makes my day. Every week, in my little paper planner, there are four lists: to-do, errands, menu, and groceries. Apparently I even hold a list of lists. Check, check, check…and quick visual on the accomplishments of a day, a week, a life. So is it no wonder that my eyes alight at Romans 12. A list of do’s. Challenges and goals that can be accomplished in small ways every day in the hope that at the end of a life, they can be checked off one by one.
Imagine the world where we all ascribed by this particular list.
